Fabric & feel
Fleece is a knit brushed to puff up the fibres: it traps air and holds in warmth without weighing you down. It feels soft and fluffy. It dries quickly after washing, handy for a sweatshirt you'll want to wear again and again.
When to wear it?
From October to April, on cool days when a chunky wool jumper would be too much. At the weekend, at home or out walking, or as a mid-layer under a roomy coat.
Fit & size
Dropped shoulders and wide sleeves let your arms move freely. The volume lets you slip a thin layer underneath without feeling tight.
Runs slightly large. If you're often between two sizes, take the smaller one.
