PETA, short for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, is an international non-profit organisation that works to protect the rights and dignity of animals. PETA certification confirms that the certified products contain no animal material.

PETA certification is self-declared. Companies wishing to be certified by PETA must fill in a questionnaire and sign a "statement of assurance" confirming that the products contain no animal material. Some of a brand's products may carry the label alongside other products that do not.

Requirements

All PETA-declared products must contain no animal material such as fur, leather, silk, down or wool.
