Producing vegan shoes is key to reducing CO2 emissions, saving water and respecting the lives of other living beings.

Carlos Garcia created Flamingos Life, ethical trainers with sustainable properties: recycled rubber for the outsoles, plant-based insoles, corn residues for the uppers, bamboo fibre or organic cotton for the linings, all packed in recycled cardboard.

The environmental commitments of Flamingos Life sneakers

The obvious alternative to leather is often plastic. It is a petroleum-based material, very harmful to the planet.

True to its ethical values, Flamingos Life makes its ethical sneakers from plant-based, biodegradable materials. For example, the eco-friendly trainer brand uses corn waste, which is more sustainable than animal leather. The trainers are also made of bamboo, GOTS certified organic cotton, hemp, linen and upcycled materials. Flamingos Life calculates the impact of its production for each new collection of ethical trainers.
