Founded in 2000, People Tree set itself the mission of giving economic independence to people working in textiles, while protecting the environment. To do so, it relies on the principles of fair trade and uses only natural, sustainable materials. People Tree stands out through its strong commitment, offering a timeless, chic women's wardrobe.
People Tree's environmental commitments
Natural materials take pride of place at People Tree: 83% of the collections are in GOTS-certified organic cotton, and the rest is in Tencel or wool certified to the "Animal Welfare Act".
The dyes the brand uses are safe and guaranteed free from azo dyes.

Part of People Tree's DNA from the start, the eco-friendly brand is Fair Trade certified, which guarantees that the brand follows the label's recommendations. Fair trade puts people and the environment at the heart of the business. It recognises, promotes and protects the cultural identity and traditional skills of small producers.
People Tree also has a foundation, an independent non-profit organisation whose mission is to help farmers and artisans through training, technical support, environmental initiatives, and awareness campaigns for fair trade and for fairer, more sustainable ethical fashion.
