It all began in 1993, when the Samsoe brothers opened their eponymous jewellery shop in Copenhagen's elegant Latin Quarter, including a few high-end ready-to-wear pieces. In 2000 the Scandinavian brand became an international fashion house after being taken over by Peter Sextus and Per-Ulrik, who expanded the range with shoes and accessories.

The sustainable clothing brand places fundamental importance on its commitments to transparency, traceability and product durability, and aims for 100% responsible use of its raw materials by 2026, such as organic cotton and RWS-certified wool.

Samsoe Samsoe is certified by 6 international labels, including the GOTS label, which needs no introduction, the GRS label, which guarantees that a number of social and environmental requirements are met, and the Responsible Wool Standard, which covers the welfare of sheep and the land they graze on, as well as the proper handling of wool as a fibre.

The eco-friendly brand Samsoe Samsoe fosters an ethical and inclusive company culture by putting in place several measures that guarantee the rights of every employee.

It values cultural diversity and now employs 552 people worldwide. The ethical brand Samsoe & Samsoe is committed to hiring without any discrimination and asks for neither gender identification nor a photo in its recruitment process.
