Swedish Stockings tights' environmental commitments
The fibres used by the eco-friendly brand are all Oeko-Tex certified, guaranteeing they are free from toxic substances. The tights are made from recycled nylon, giving waste a new purpose.
At every stage of making the tights, the partners involved have strict commitments to minimise their environmental impact. The factories producing the various yarns and the knitting mainly use renewable energy from solar panels or wind turbines.
The ethical tights brand offers a recycling programme: worn-out tights are collected and recycled into filler material for fibreglass tanks.
Swedish Stockings' ethical commitments
The NILIT® EcoCare, ECONYL® and Q-NOVA® yarns are made in Israel, Slovenia and Italy respectively. The knitting and dyeing are done in a factory in Italy.
All these partners are OHSAS18001 certified (British Standard Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series), meeting the ILO (International Labour Organization) fundamentals on health and safety at work.
