Our take on...

By Solène 22 July 2020 2 minute read

There's plenty of debate in the fashion industry... and even more in ethical fashion!

What does being eco-friendly mean, and who actually is? What does consuming sustainably mean? The truth is, we can give you food for thought and ideas, but never a definitive answer, and even less an absolute truth. And why is that?

Because these concepts are subjective, and depend on the brands and, more broadly, on each and every one of us. Everyone has their own definition of "eco-friendliness" and "ethics", for example. That's why we're sharing our opinions on these topics here, and they're ours alone.

The team's aim is to give you all the tools you need to form your own opinions.

Opinions on the fashion industry and more

Because there's a lot to think about in the way we consume and in the sometimes dubious practices of the fashion industry, we're sharing our views on various topics.

On the menu: opinions on the sales, on our shopping habits at certain fateful times like Christmas, and lots of other things we're preparing in secret, just for you.

💬 Why buying that neon python-print jacket in the sales isn't really a good idea

💬 Why giving Granny a tablet isn't necessarily useful. And how to give a gift that is.

💬 Fair sales: is it possible?

Our opinion on brands' eco-friendly and ethical approach

If you have questions about a brand you've heard of because people say it's "eco-friendly" (and it claims to be), these articles will help you see things a little more clearly.

💬 Our opinions on brands

After asking you which brands you wanted us to cover, we picked apart all the information available on their websites and carefully studied their promises and actions.

Our opinions are as objective and thorough as possible. In all our articles, we always weigh up the pros and cons of each of the brands' actions and commitments.

Once again, all we want is for you to go and dig around yourself to form your own opinion rather than follow us blindly!
