Good to know
- A thick corduroy in GOTS certified organic cotton, with wide, textured wales.
- Dense enough to wear as a jacket, soft enough to layer like a shirt.
- Slanted patch pockets: your hands slip in without searching for the opening.
Material & feel
Corduroy is cotton woven into ribs of short pile: soft to the touch, and warm thanks to the air trapped between the ribs. At 320 g/m², the fabric has body and hangs nice and straight. The trade-off: 2% elastane. It gives this thick corduroy a little flexibility: you move your arms without feeling the jacket resist, and it keeps its shape wear after wear.
When to wear it?
From October to April, as a jacket in its own right on cool but dry days. In the coldest weather, under a roomy coat: the corduroy adds warmth without the stiffness of a bomber. At the office, it stands in for a blazer when you want a sharp look without a suit jacket.
Fit & size
The room in the shoulders and arms lets you raise your arms or drive without it pulling. The buttoned cuffs undo so you can roll up your sleeves when you get busy.
