Good to know

100% organic cotton, nothing added, from a brand that's a member of the Fair Wear Foundation.
Black right down to the seams: the black thread takes away the denim look, so it reads almost like trousers.
Room from thigh to ankle, with a high rise that holds your upper body well.

Material & feel

A 13.9 oz denim, a mid-weight: dense enough to hang straight and hold well, without weighing down your legs. Pure cotton makes it a little stiff the first few wears: that's the price of real jeans. It then moulds to your body, at the waist and hips. Its smooth finish keeps the black looking sharp.

When to wear them?

All year round: the denim blocks the wind on October mornings and stays comfortable until May. For a dinner or a date, when blue jeans would feel too casual.

The wide leg leaves room at the knees: you can sit down and climb stairs without the denim pulling.
