Zèta Shoes, an ethical trainer brand for women and men
By creating Zèta, Laure committed to the circular economy: she reuses materials so as not to generate any extra waste. The shoe brand Zèta Shoes designs recycled trainers that are recyclable and vegan, made from grape marc leather. The company has a low environmental impact, for example by assembling its shoes by hand in Portugal.
Zèta Shoes' environmental commitments
Grape marc is the waste from wine production: skins, seeds and other residues. 850 million tonnes of grape marc are produced every year during the grape harvest.
Bringing this material into the circular economy of eco-friendly shoemaking is a true ethical innovation and an alternative to animal leather.
While the outside of the shoe is made of plant-based material with grape faux leather, the inside is made from recycled plastic from bottles collected from the Mediterranean Sea. The soles are made from recycled cork and recycled rubber.
To take its circular economy approach further, Zèta Shoes runs a recycling programme that handles the end of life of its shoes: if they are too worn to be repaired, the brand turns them into green fuel.

Zèta Shoes vegan shoes are made through short supply chains, in Europe: conceived and designed in Bordeaux and made in a workshop in Porto, Portugal. The components (soles, laces, shoe boxes, etc.) come from France, Italy and Portugal.

Zèta Shoes trainers are ideal for building an ethical, vegan wardrobe. The styles are made to last. The Alpha trainer by Zèta comes in black and in white. Its speckled sole gives it a natural look. The vegan shoe brand has chosen timeless colours that are easy to pair with any outfit, and the white vegan shoe remains a great basic. Colour variations such as red, green or blue add some pep to an outfit. The recycled-material trainers are unisex. Zèta Shoes for women go perfectly with organic cotton mom jeans or a vegan skirt.
