What is Cornskin?

Cornskin is an innovative material and a 100% plant-based alternative to animal leather, and to plastic too.

This material is PETA and BIOBASED certified.

This material is a combination of organic plant matter and PU (polyurethane).

How is Cornskin made?

The corn goes through a fermentation process to extract dextrose (a simple sugar made from corn that is chemically identical to glucose). This manufacturing process does not require any petrochemical products. The fibres, derived from dextrose, are then used to create a polymer.
