Good to know
- The comfort of flannel with the smart look of a proper shirt: it goes from the sofa to the office.
- A tight twill, woven on the diagonal: supple to wear, it holds up well over time.
- A plain fig shade, easy to wear, that makes a change from the usual blue and white.
Material & feel
Flannel is a cotton with a slightly fuzzy feel, warmer than poplin. Woven as a twill, it keeps its structure without getting stiff. The organic cotton is grown without synthetic pesticides, and the shirt contains no other fibre.
When to wear it?
From October to April, on its own at the office or at the weekend. In September, worn open as a light layer on cool mornings. In the depths of winter, under a thick jumper without adding bulk.
Fit & size
You can raise your arms, drive or sit down without the buttons pulling across your stomach. It looks just as good tucked in as worn loose.
Runs slightly small. If you're often between two sizes, take the larger one.
