Ecoalf, ethical clothing brand for women and men
The foundations of this ethical fashion brand come from an awareness of the plastic pollution we face today. Since 2009, its founder Javier Goyeneche has made it his fight. Plastic bottles, cotton, wool, tyres, fishing nets and even coffee grounds: every piece of waste is transformed to create a sustainable garment.
Ecoalf's environmental commitments
In 2015, through its foundation, Ecoalf launched Upcycling the Oceans, a worldwide adventure that helps remove waste from the bottom of the oceans with the support of fishermen. The project aims to recover the waste that destroys the sea and turn it into top-quality yarn to produce fabrics.
All the suppliers of Ecoalf, the eco-friendly clothing brand, hold at least one Bluesign® and/or OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certification. All ECOALF clothes comply with the REACH regulation (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals). REACH is an analysis that checks that the chemicals used in production are not harmful.
Ecoalf's ethical commitments
To guarantee minimum compliance with environmental and social standards, Ecoalf has created an internal agreement with all its suppliers, requiring at least one of the following certifications: BSCI or SA8000. Production today is conscientiously carried out in China.
