MoEa is a young French brand founded in 2021 with one single goal: to bring people sustainable fashion without compromising on style.

Trainers made from apple waste from the Italian juice industry, or grape waste from the wine industry: this creative vegan trainer brand offers you designs that are not only eco-friendly, but also stylish and built to last.

They started from a simple observation: using plant-based rather than animal materials reduces the carbon footprint of their shoes by 89%. So they turned to innovative materials that replace cowhide leather with ethical alternatives.

Today they offer sneaker collections to suit every style, without putting the environment at risk.

The environmental commitments of MoEa sneakers

All MoEa shoes are made from biomaterials, which are simply fruit or plant waste combined with a stabiliser such as cotton. Depending on the design, they use different alternative leathers, such as apple, cactus, corn or grape-based leather.

As a result, MoEa emits 6.4 kg of CO2 to produce one pair of eco-friendly trainers, compared with 30.1 kg for a conventional pair.

The vegan raw materials of the transparent brand MoEa have been sourced according to their geographical origin and quality.

The ethical commitments of MoEa

In an industry where most textile workers are underpaid and work in poor conditions, MoEa has chosen to have its shoes made in a workshop by skilled workers, where all the labour standards set by the ILO are respected.

MoEas, exceptional trainers, are carefully handmade by skilled artisans in Guimarães, Portugal. This region stands out at a time when most production is located in South-East Asia. The choice of local production is rooted in the wish to guarantee compliance with the European Union's strict labour standards and to maintain a direct, genuine relationship with the ethical brand's production partners. MoEa only works with suppliers whose facilities they have personally inspected.

The superior quality of the sneakers comes from a stitched sole technique that demands remarkable expertise and skill. This know-how is mainly mastered by artisans in the Porto region. This traditional method promises durability, preventing the sole from coming away prematurely, the hallmark of a top-quality shoe.

MoEa vegan trainers

The PETA-certified brand offers a selection of vegan sneakers with a fairly minimalist style. Touches of bright colour such as yellow, green, orange, blue and red add originality to these pairs of ethical shoes.

Made from grape leather, corn, pineapple or cactus, these vegan trainers make no sacrifice on looks.
