The brand's story
PinqPonq is a brand founded in 2014 in Cologne, Germany. It has stood out with its minimalist yet highly functional bags, and with its commitment to ethics and eco-design.
Environmental commitment
Pinqponq's material of choice is recycled polyester. Made from recovered plastic water bottles, the recycled polyester is light and hard-wearing, making it the best material for backpacks.
Since 2017, the brand has stopped using materials of animal origin, and in March 2017 it was certified by the animal rights organisation PETA.
As a partner of BlueSign, Pinqponq shows its determination to reduce its environmental footprint. This independent label checks the composition of products and helps brands keep reducing the impact of their production on people and the environment.
Social commitment
The brand is a member of the Fair Wear Foundation. This organisation works to monitor and improve working conditions in the textile industry. Pinqponq's factories are audited regularly to check that they comply with social standards.
What's more, Pinqponq's designers and managers regularly visit the sites to see day-to-day working life first hand, spending several weeks in the manufacturing workshops.
