“Join the #Rifolution”
Rifò is a brand founded in 2017 that brings together the circular economy, traditional craftsmanship and sustainable fashion. Its ethical clothes are all made from recycled and sustainable materials, so you can mix up your style. Rifò also places great importance on the quality of the materials used in production, to support the circular economy.
Rifò, an ethical clothing brand for women and men
Rifò, which takes its name from the Italian verb for “to remake”, was founded in 2017 by Niccolò, who realised during a trip to Vietnam how big a problem overproduction and overconsumption are in the fashion industry. The brand's mission is to create quality clothes from 100% recycled and recyclable materials.
Rifò's environmental commitments
To limit waste, textile waste and overproduction, Rifò works on a pre-order model. This lets them produce the right, small quantities and keep better control of the production chain.
But where Rifò has really found its niche is in the circular economy. Rifò can be described as a regenerative rather than extractive company, since it uses no new resources to make its collections. It gives new value to exceptional existing materials: recycled cashmere, wool, cotton or silk, all made in Italy.
Production is therefore local, less than 30km from their offices.
Many collection points have been set up so their customers can drop off clothes they no longer wear, to be recycled into future Rifò clothes.
Rifò's ethical commitments
The Rifò team cares deeply about preserving and sharing the immense know-how of their region, and about offering handmade clothes. They are proud of their partner artisans and aim to showcase them, so every customer knows exactly who made their product, where, in what conditions and with which materials.
