Good to know
- An upcycled velvet, hand-sewn in Roubaix: a fabric offcut turned into an accessory.
- Enough volume to hold thick hair without getting lost in it.
- A fairly tight elastic: two twists are enough to keep your hairstyle in place.
Material & feel
Velvet is a fabric with a short, dense pile: soft to the touch, with a sheen that shifts with the light. The trade-off: 65% viscose, a man-made fibre. It gives this velvet its suppleness and shine, with cupro for the smooth feel. The result: the scrunchie keeps full, puffy gathers and glides over your hair instead of flattening it.
When to wear it?
On days when thick hair stays tied up from morning to night, in a high ponytail or a bun. The rest of the time, it waits on your wrist and looks like a piece of jewellery.
