Good to know

Material & feel

Velvet is a short-pile fabric, soft to the touch, with a subtle sheen when it catches the light. The small share of elastane gives the fabric flexibility, so it follows the gathers instead of forming stiff folds. Against the back of your neck, you feel the softness of velvet rather than elastic.

When to wear it?

From autumn to winter, when velvet is in season. In summer too, to keep your neck clear on hot days. And between hairstyles, it waits on your wrist.

The colour and material are really pretty. I have long/thick/wavy hair, and I use the small size to tie my plait at night. The velvet doesn't damage your hair and doesn't leave kinks in the ends. It all depends on your volume and what you use it for: for ponytails with long, thick hair, I'd recommend the large size to hold everything properly and so the Chou2 still shows in all that hair. Otherwise the small one works really well to decorate a ponytail over another, stronger hair tie, to finish plaits or if you have fine, straight hair.
