Founded in 2001 by Maria Erixon Levin and Joakim Levin, Nudie Jeans is a Swedish denim brand based in Gothenburg, Sweden. Specialising in raw and washed jeans, the brand's collections also include many other clothing items and accessories. Nudie Jeans is built on strong values: timelessness, sustainability and responsibility.

The environmental commitments of Nudie Jeans clothing

When it comes to materials, Nudie Jeans goes for eco-friendly options only. 100% of its denim is GOTS-certified organic cotton, and the cotton used for its t-shirts is Fairtrade-labelled organic cotton. In 2018, Nudie Jeans replaced the leather on the patches of its jeans and jackets with a vegan paper alternative. The brand also uses recycled materials such as PET and recycled wool.

Repairing, reusing and recycling are at the heart of Nudie Jeans' goals. The brand runs repair shops where you can have your women's eco-friendly jeans and your men's eco-friendly jeans repaired for life. The ethical fashion brand also collects unwanted jeans, restores them and sells them second hand. When they can't be repaired, Nudie Jeans clothes go to its recycling programme, where the jeans are turned into lots of other products.
